Join us at the DevOps Enterprise Summit in London from June 25-27th!

Last month Nutanix had the pleasure of hosting Gene Kim as a keynote speaker at our inaugural Developer Day at .NEXT Anaheim.  Feedback of the event was so positive from Nutanix Customers, Partners, and employees that we jumped at the opportunity to work with Gene again at the DevOps Enterprise Summit in London from June 25th to 27th.

If you’re not familiar with the DevOps Enterprise Summit, it’s a conference for leaders, managers, and executives looking to teach and learn about DevOps principles and practices.  Whether your company is just getting started on their DevOps journey, or are seasoned veterans, the combination of over one hundred business, technical, and architectural keynotes, breakouts, and panels will aid you in taking your next step.

I’m honored to participate in this exciting conference, where I’ll be sharing our lessons learned through Nutanix’s acquisition of a small DevOps company called Calm.io in 2016.  If you’re not familiar with Calm.io, they were the company behind what is now Nutanix Calm, a multi-cloud application lifecycle manager.

Once the acquisition dust settled, our leaders had some difficult decisions ahead of them: opt for speed to market with simple rebranding and a separate UI from the rest of the management stack, or opt for a true single pane of glass for both infrastructure and application management which would require rewriting the entire codebase?  If the latter is chosen, how could we ensure the proven DevOps methodologies implemented by Calm.io were not lost?  In the time since, how has the knowledge and skills gained through the Calm.io acquisition helped shape the future of the Nutanix product portfolio?

If this sounds interesting to you, please come by the room Cutty Sark from 12:05 – 12:35 PM on June 27th.  If you’re still on the fence, please check out Gene’s “What to Expect At DevOps Enterprise Summit London 2019” blog post, which includes a registration discount code.
